Protection Policy

As a software developer we take software piracy extremely seriously. It is for this reason that we have to use a protection system with our software.

The basis for our protection system is the ArchiCAD Keyplug. Each tool license attaches itself to an ArchiCAD keyplug and will only work with that keyplug. Normally a design office will have the same number of tools licenses as they have ArchiCAD licenses and we offer substantial discounts for multiple license purchases (see pricing policy). Similar to ArchiCAD you can load the tools on a number of different computers but they will only work when the ArchiCAD keyplug they are attached to is plugged in to the computer.

With NET licenses the same number of tools licenses are purchased as there are ArchiCAD licenses on the NET key.

For example, if an office has a NET5 + 2 single keys they would purchase 7 tools licenses in the same configuration.

Below is a common question we receive from Sole Practitioners:

Scenario 1 - You have two office computers each running ArchiCAD and you want to use a Cadimage Tool on both computers.
Solution – Purchase and Register 2 Licenses of the required Tool/s. Two Keyplugs equals Two Licenses required.

Scenario 2 – You have a computer at the office and one at home; you use the same ArchiCAD Keyplug on each computer.
Solution – Purchase and Register 1 License of the required tool/s. You can register the Tool/s on both computer as the license is linked to the keyplug not the computer.
